Director Rahul Olakia and actor Swara Bhaskar were some of the film’s personalities to express frustration that a special NDPS court in Mumbai would announce his order on the bail application filed by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. Aryan Khan, 23, was arrested along with seven others on October 3 when the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained a drug party on a cruise ship. He is currently in the Arthur Road jail.

After hearing extensive arguments from the investigating agency NCB and defense lawyers on Thursday, Special Judge VV Patil posted the matter for an October 20 order. Earlier, the magistrate court rejected the bail pleas of Aryan Khan, Moonmoon Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant.

As news spread that the court would now rule on Aryan Khan’s bail application next week, filmmaker Mrs Olakia tweeted her response.

Without naming names, filmmaker Hansal Mehta said in a tweet that cannabis / cannabis use may be legal in many countries, but leads to “harassment” in India.

The 59-year-old director said Shah Rukh Khan’s fans should be grateful to the NCB for making Aryan Khan a super-duper star.

He said, “All genuine and intelligent fans of amsiamsrk should thank the great NCB for making their superstar’s son a super duper star. As a true fan of ams iamsrk I just want to shout out to Joy NCB.”

He added, “I will place a bet that in the future Aryan Khan will say that he has learned a lot more about life in prison and from the NCB than his own father amsiamsrk.”

Actor Tanisha Mukherjee wrote in her Instagram story on Thursday, “Free him already !!”

His star Kajal, who has shared a close bond with Shah Rukh Khan, has not yet commented on the matter. Even some celebrities like Bachchan family, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and a few young brigades of Bollywood have not said anything publicly yet.

Superstar Salman Khan, who lives a few minutes away from Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s home in the suburbs of Bandra, has met Aryan Khan twice since his arrest.
