Army organizes community classes for students near LoC in J & K’s Rajouri – Times of India

Rajouri: The Kovid-1 pandemic epidemic has disrupted the education of students across the country, but life is difficult for students living in Hamirpur town in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Due to its proximity to the Line of Control (LOC), Hamirpur has very poor internet connection. The area also occasionally witnesses border shelling, forcing schools to close for long periods of time.

To facilitate the unexplained education of children living in the area, the Army has started ‘Pinewood School’ where community classes are being organized for the students’ curriculum. According to Aliaz Khan, a teacher at Pinewood School, while students in most parts of India have adapted to online classes, internet connection is a problem in Hamirpur.

“Now, these community classes organized by the Army are helping students complete their curriculum on time and be equal to students across the country. The Army is also making sure that all Covid protocols are being followed,” the teacher added.

They also help us on our journey. These classes are doing us a lot of good to ensure our safety,” Tahra said. .

According to another student, Rubia, the classes helped her cover her pending syllabus and prepare for competitive exams.

“The network here is very weak, which is why we can’t take online classes.
