The Chief Minister’s appeal comes ahead of an important meeting of the board examinations this evening, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On April 14, CBSE had announced the cancellation of Class 10 examination and postponement of Class 12 examination in view of the increase in cases of coronovirus.

The Ministry of Education had recently sought detailed suggestions from the States and Union Territories on the proposals discussed in a high level meeting on the issue.

The government has informed the Supreme Court, which is hearing a petition seeking cancellation of the examination, that it will take a final decision by 3 June.
