Actor Mayilsamy passes away: Mayilsamy was a popular Tamil comic actor who died early Sunday morning, February 19. He was 57. According to Tamilstar, the veteran actor died as a result of illness.

Ramesh Bala, a trade analyst, also confirmed the actor’s death, saying he felt ill yesterday and was taken to Porur Ramachandra Hospital by his family. Mayilsamy died on the way to the hospital, and doctors confirmed his death.

Ramesh posted on Twitter, “The final video of late actor #Mayilsamy.

He was not feeling well. Then his family drove him to Porur Ramachandra Hospital, he died on the way. Doctors later confirmed. He was preoccupied with a number of films. When legends died, he was the first person that TV channels called. RIP!”

Mayilsamy was a Tamil film actor and comedian who had worked in over 400 films in Tamil cinema. He was born on November 2, 1965, in the village of Sirukoodalpatti near Usilampatti in the Madurai district, Tamil Nadu, India.

Mayilsamy began his career as a stage artist, performing in various plays and dramas before making his film debut in the Tamil film “Palaivana Solai” in 1981. He gained recognition for his comic roles in films such as “Thiruvilayadal Arambam,” “Chennai 600028,” and “Sivaji.”

Some of Mayilsamy’s notable films include “Thulluvadho Ilamai”, “Friends”, “Minnale”, “Sivakasi”, “Sivaji”, “Vel”, “Billa 2”, and “Kanchana 2”. He has also acted in a few television serials and has hosted a comedy show called “Sirippu Da” on the Tamil television channel Vijay TV.

Mayilsamy was known for his unique style of comedy and his ability to deliver dialogues with perfect timing. He has won several awards for his performances, including the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian for his role in the film “Vijayakumar.”

Apart from acting, Mayilsamy has also worked as a producer, writer, and director. He produced the film “Arai Enn 305-il Kadavul,” which was directed by Chimbu Deven and starred Santhanam in the lead role.

Mayilsamy was married and has two children. He was also involved in charity work and has contributed to several social causes.
