Are increasing cases of swine flu bothering you? Not sure how you can avoid falling prey to a growing epidemic? First and foremost, there is absolutely no need to panic.

Here are some easy steps you can take to deal with any type of flu virus including swine flu. It is not necessary to follow all the steps at once. You can choose and choose the combination of treatments that best suits you. However, if you are already suffering from the flu, these remedies can only help to an extent.

1. Take five leaves of Tulsi (known in English as Tulsi; medicinal name Osimum garbhagriha) daily in the morning. Tulsi has a large number of therapeutic properties. It keeps the throat and lungs clean and strengthens your immunity and helps in infection.

2. Giloi (medicinal name Tinospora cordifolia) is a commonly available plant in many areas. Take a sprig of giloi, put five to six leaves of basil in it and boil it in water for 15-20 minutes or so that its properties are removed in the water. Add black pepper and rock (salt used during religious fasting), rock or black salt, or mishri (crystallized sugar like kernels to make it sweeter) as per taste. Allow it to cool down a bit and drink this decoction only when it is hot. This will work wonders for your immunity. If giloi plant is not available, then take processed giloi powder from Hamdard or others and make a similar drink once a day.

3. A small piece of camphor (camphor) about the size of a pill should be taken once or twice a month. It can be swallowed with water by adults while children can take it with mashed potatoes or bananas as they will find it difficult to take it without an assistant. Please remember that camphor is not to be consumed daily, but only in every season or once a month.

4. Those who can take garlic, they should eat two pods of raw garlic first thing in the morning. Should be ingested daily with lukewarm water. Garlic also strengthens immunity like the measures mentioned earlier.

5. Those who are not allergic to milk should consume a glass of hot or lukewarm milk with a small amount of turmeric (turmeric) every night.

6. Aloe vera (Guarpatha) is also a commonly available plant. Its thick and long, cactus-like leaves have an odorless gel. A teaspoon gel taken with water daily can not only work wonders for your skin and joint pains, but also enhance immunity.

7. Take homeopathic medicines – Pyrogenium 200 and Influenzium 200 in particular – take five tablets three times a day, or two-three drops three times a day. While these are not specifically targeted at H1N1, they work well as a deterrent against common flu viruses.

8. Do Pranayam daily (under guidance if you are not already initiated in it) and take regular morning walks / walks to keep your throat and lungs in good condition and body fine. Even in small measures, it will work wonders for your body’s immunity against all diseases that attack the nose, throat and lungs, besides keeping your body fit.

9. Take juice of Indian gooseberry (Indian gooseberry) rich in citrus fruits, especially vitamin C. Since fresh Amla is not available in the market right now (and not for three to four months), it is not a bad idea to buy packaged Amla juice which is commonly available nowadays.

10. Last but not least, wash your hands repeatedly with soap and warm water every day for 15-20 seconds; Especially before a meal, or every time you touch a surface that you suspect may be contaminated with the flu virus, such as a door handle or knob / handle, especially if you have returned from a public place Or use public transport. Alcohol-based hand cleaners should be kept and used at all times until you get soap and hot water.
